What is Curious Society?
Curious Society is a private non-fiction book club and community dedicated to inspiring meaningful engagement and lifelong learning through reading and thoughtful discussion.
We believe in the transformative power of books to spark curiosity, expand perspectives, and ignite the imagination needed to create a positive impact in the world.
"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." – Margaret J. Wheatley

Men Explain Things to Me by Rebecca Solnit.
How It Works
Our book club is for people who love exploring the world through non-fiction. Each month, we dive into titles spanning diverse subjects—economics, business, politics, religion, history, science, self-help, feminism, philosophy, and even travelogues.
We meet on the last Friday of every month, either online or at a cozy dining spot in Amsterdam, creating space for both convenience and connection.
The format is simple: members suggest books, we vote, and the winning title becomes our next read.
Meraki was created as a place to learn, challenge ideas, be challenged, and think bigger. Expect thought-provoking conversations, fresh perspectives, and a community that values curiosity as much as the books themselves. We can’t wait to welcome you into the discussion.

-
Every month members vote on a shortlist of 5 inspiring nonfiction books on a theme. Our of 5, we will select 2 books of choice to read during the month.
-
You will be invited to our monthly in-person or virtual event.
Join us online or in Amsterdam on the last Friday of the month.
"Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."
— Walt Disney
